October 2002

October promises to be
a fun month for the Agape.  A Halloween party is
planned for our children and a dance for the adults on
Saturday, October 26.  Party at 3 p.m. and dance at
9:30pm.  If you would like to contribute finger food to
either of these events, it would be welcomed.
Our noon meeting is studying the twelve steps
on Wednesdays and The Big Book on Fridays.  Kelly is
our Meeting Leader.
The Back-to-Basics Group will celebrate two
birthdays on the 30th–Al with eight years and Homer with
seven.  This will be an eating meeting and these people
can COOK.

The Downtown Group will celebrate three
birthdays on the 26th–Jim with two years, Tony with eight
and Jeanette with ten.  Fountain City will celebrate on
the 25th–Charlie with eight years, Frankie with five,

Remember that the District Meeting is
held at the Wynnton Road Burger King on the second Sunday at
10:30 a.m. and the Agape Board meets on the third Sunday at
2 p.m.  All members are invited.
The Board voted to have Georgia Power
install a floodlight on the south side of our
building.  This will make it safer for people who park
on that side. The Board also voted to add another
handicapped parking space.  This will be on the Third
Avenue side with easy access to the ramp.
There is a new AA meeting at the Midland
United Methodist Church on Friday evenings at 6:30.  If
you live in this area, please plan to support this
meeting.  The Agape has a new CA meeting on Sundays at
6 oclock.  Gloria has been bringing cake to this
meeting.
