Got a few minutes to watch Sourdough: 4 Scores & 4 Bakes in 4:56 minutes? Sometimes it's nice to see some repetition. Sourdough reacts a little differently with each loaf. You'll see that with the bakes, they're also a little different, even though the recipe is the same and the oven temp is the same.
Each sourdough score and bake has its own personality.
Whether you slash or score – totally up to you. I do one or the other depending on my mood. If I do a slash, I usually don’t apply much rice flour and just leave the loaf a’la natural with a single slash. But, if I do a score pattern, I’ll use some white rice flour sprinkled on top to bring out that pattern of the score.
