Easy Asian Dipping Sauce for Dumplings, Pot Stickers, Gyoza

An incredibly easy dipping sauce perfect for Asian dumplings, pancakes, gyoza, pot stickers, and egg rolls. Bright, savory, and umami with soy sauce, ginger, rice vinegar.

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoon black vinegar optional, if you don't have it then bump up the rice vinegar to 3 tsp
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • pinch white pepper (or black pepper)
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • ½ teaspoon sesame oil or to taste
  • pinch sesame seeds and sliced green onion optional


  • Add all ingredients into a shaker jar and shake vigorously.
    Serve with any dumpling, eggroll, tempura, etc.
